Vaper is short for vapoter, and sometimes the word is used to specifically describe the use of an electronic cigarette (also known as an e cigarette or e-pen). It’s a small, portable device in the shape of a pen, consisting of a battery, a reservoir and a chamber with a heating element.

In 2003, Hon Link, a Chinese pharmacist and engineer addicted to tobacco, invented the electronic cigarette in the hope of freeing himself from his addiction. Then, in 2006, its e-cigarette finally arrived on the European market. It was a few years later that this particular method of consuming CBD appeared. It then rapidly exploded all over the world.

CBD vaping has developed particularly among smokers who want to quit smoking and no longer suffer the adverse health effects of any combustion – including that of hemp flower( rich in CBD), regularly smoked mixed with tobacco.

One of the particularly attractive advantages of the electronic cigarette is that it allows you to keep the smoker’s gestures and the pleasure of inhalation without radically changing your lifestyle, while no longer suffering the downsides of traditional cigarettes.

Many studies have shown that vaping is safer than smoking.

What’s more, vaping CBD works faster than taking it orally, in capsules, gelatin or drops.

Benefits of CBD vape

There are several reasons why people seem to have adopted this product so quickly. First and foremost, the method is very practical. Even a disposable e-cigarette, with a relatively small tank, lasts much longer than a day for the average user or even the fanatic.

The product is small, portable and practical. Its size and dimensions make it easy to carry, as a slim model fits in an average pocket.

Another much-appreciated advantage is the rapidity of the effects, which are felt in a matter of seconds. In fact, when the product is inhaled, it passes through the lungs and goes straight into the bloodstream, for a pleasant, almost instantaneous sensation of relaxation.

This method is particularly beneficial for consumers interested in the immediate relaxing effects of CBD.

What’s more, many people are accustomed to the act of smoking, which closely resembles vaping and can easily be replaced by it.

In addition, preliminary results from a 2013 study conducted by the Clinical Pharmacology Unit at the University of London (and published in the journal Addictive Behaviors) demonstrated that CBD inhalation could help reduce daily cigarette consumption. Thus, participants who had inhaled CBD over a 7-day period significantly reduced the number of cigarettes they smoked, while the group who had received a placebo showed no change in their habitual consumption over these 7 days.

The use of e-cigarettes as a gradual replacement for conventional cigarettes could therefore enable successful weaning from smoking in just a few months.

CBD vape is also perfect for relaxed social use.

You can vape freely in the presence of friends, family and colleagues, in complete peace and quiet, safely and legally, without having to leave the group to go outside to smoke, for example.

In fact, thanks to the e-pen’s simple, functional system, there is no permanent combustion of CBD, unlike cigarettes, which continue to burn once lit.

In this way, you protect those around you from the risks of passive smoking, and therefore from the toxic fumes of cigarettes, while enjoying your vape to the full. Thanks to the electronic cigarette system, you’ll no longer suffer the characteristic smell of cold tobacco that permeates clothes and walls: CBD vapor is light, fragrant and dissipates in just a few minutes, just long enough to work its relaxing effect on your body.

Technology evolves to serve CBD vape

Several years ago, we discovered that CBD isolate could be mixed with e-liquid (normally a blend of Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerine (VG)) and then vaped.

These older models also used a cotton wick to transport thee-liquid from the tank to the heating element.

A wide variety of artificial flavours have been added to this formula, often accompanied by
nicotine. In these early models, CBD isolate was added to a neutral base of PG and VG. Propylene glycol acts as a solvent, and vegetable glycerin produces a cloud of vapor when heated. The reason why a solvent like PG was needed was that the liquid had to be transported from the tank to the heating chamber using a cotton wick. The only way to use such a device for CBD propagation was to use a solvent such as Propylene Glycol, and mix isolated CBD crystals.

However, as vape technology has continued to improve,, new devices have appeared. As it turned out, these systems didn’t need a Propylene Glycol base or other chemicals to vaporize CBD. This new generation of vape pens was powered by a ceramic chamber that did not use a wick to transport the liquid, but relied on gravity to carry the extract from the reservoir to the heating element. This type of device offers the advantage of obtaining full-spectrum extracts, without the use of chemical solvents such as Propylene Glycol. For this application, the device must have a preheating function. The extract can then be heated until it is sufficiently liquid to be drawn by gravity over the ceramic resistor.

This is precisely the case with our cartridges

Our unique recipe for CBD cartridges?

A first supercritical CO2 extraction of European hemp will undergo a decarboxylation and purification treatment. Then, before carefully filling our CBD cartridges, we add a skilful blend of terpenes as the only diluent, the secret of which we will keep secret, to guarantee you a unique experience!

Guaranteed THC, NICOTINE, PG/VG free

Terpenes, aromatic molecules in plants.

Finally, all the magic of the recipe comes from the terpenes. (This term is derived from the German word Terpentin, meaning turpentine).

It is these hydrocarbons, particularly present in conifers, that give all their aromas and fragrances to a number of plants (lavender, thyme, laurel…), foods (mango, walnuts…) and spices (pepper, curry…).

They are completely natural and harmless to health.

Aromatic plants have always played an important therapeutic role, notably in the form of essential oils, products derived from the extraction of terpenes.

Peppermint essential oil, for example, has long been recognized for its antispasmodic virtues, while tea tree essential oil has antifungal and antibiotic properties. Eucalyptus radiata essential oil helps to fight colds by decongesting the nasal and respiratory passages, etc.

These formulas are increasingly used in everyday life, whether to treat everyday ailments or to accompany a moment of relaxation.

In the same way that each essential oil produces specific effects, a single cannabis plant can contain various types of terpenes – in different proportions – each providing its own typical scent and flavor (woody, musky, spicy, lemony, mentholated…).

The best-known terpenes are myrcene, limonene, pinene, linalool, eucalyptol and humulene, but this list is far from exhaustive. They exist in over a hundred different varieties and are present in thousands of plant species.

The properties of these molecules could also enhance the beneficial effects of CBD.

We’ve reviewed most of the terpenes present in cannabis, and based on their effects and aromas (smell and taste) we’ve selected the best to satisfy you…

Is vaping CBD cartridges hazardous to your health?

In the USA, the use of cannabis-based products is now fully legalized in many states. However, it was in the summer of 2019 that this country suffered a severe health scandal in connection with cartridge vape, and this affair strongly impacted the image of the entire e-cigarette industry, including CBD cartridge shops.

Indeed, in September 2019, a spike in cases of EVALI (E-cigarette product use-associated Vaping Lung Injury) suddenly appeared among American users, mostly young people aged 18 to 34. They suffered from lung lesions that eventually led to antibiotic-resistant and sometimes fatal pneumopathies.

It turns out that it was indeed cannabis vape cartridges, mainly THC, that caused these health concerns for users.

But fortunately, based on samples tested by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and research carried out by the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), it was possible to trace the agent responsible for this worrying and mysterious wave of lung disease; it was in fact vitamin E acetate.

It turns out that some unscrupulous black-marketers started cutting sealed cartridges with vitamin E acetate, a seemingly harmless product usually used in the cosmetics and food industries. Because its consistency is similar to THC oil, vitamin E acetate enabled dealers to dilute the original substance, sometimes by as much as 50%, with no visible effect. No one knows. The result, at first sight, was perfect to use, but then vitamin E oil, once vaporized, clings to the alveoli of the lungs and creates disease.

It’s worth mentioning that no similar cases of lung damage due to vaping have been reported in France, where there are now almost 2 million vapers.

What’s more, our CBD cartridges contain no traces of oil or vitamin E acetate.
